Dedicated to one of the most important Italian artists of the second half of the 20th century and a tireless experimenter in conceptual art, Vincenzo Agnetti. NEG: Suonare le pause (Vincenzo Agnetti. NEG: Playing the Pauses), is the second episode of an ongoing project that brings back to life a sound work by the Milanese artist after fifty years of silence.

In addition to the performance, in which the mdi musical ensemble from Milan employs the NEG while playing some pieces by John Cage, the Bolzano project is also framed as an exhibition. In its “Vault” space, the Foundation presents archive materials from the Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti and the Archivio Gianni Colombo, Milano, which reconstruct the history, the project and the publicity around the artwork, the video Vobulazione e Bieloquenza NEG (1970), and the film documenting the original music pieces performed for and with the NEG by some contemporary musicians at Standards (Milan, 2021), in the occasion of the first incarnation of this project.
