Opening Day: 13.11.2020, 19.00 Uhr – ein Gespräch zwischen Antonio Dalle Nogare, Nitzan Cohen, Massimo Bartolini, Luca Trevisani und vielen mehr.
WILLI the Cat ist eine Ausstellung, welche einige der möglichen Beziehungen zwischen Mensch und Tier, Mensch und Architektur, Lebewesen und Lebensräumen und dem Leben und der Welt der Objekte erforscht.
Von der Psychologie bis hin zur Politik, von den Stimmen, welche Schizophrene hören, bis zur Vertreibung des Tieres, welches in uns lebt und von aussen gegen die Fenster klopft, von den „Barbaren“ bis hin zu den Nomaden und Migranten: WILLI ist eine Plattform, die durch die Erweiterung der Idee von Schwelle, Zuflucht und Heimat entsteht, indem sie von einem Wahrnehmungszustand in einen anderen übergeht. Architektur formt unser Bewusstsein, ohne dass wir es merken, Raum beherrscht uns durch subtile Imperative, aber Katzen sind gleichgültig und lehren uns, Grenzen mit Eleganz zu überwinden.
WILLI ist eine sinnliche Umgebung, eine räumliche und wahrgenommene Erfahrung, die einige Werke der Studierenden der Freien Universität Bozen mit anderen aus der Privatsammlung von Antonio Dalle Nogare umgibt und sie zu einem unterschwelligen Gefühl verwebt.
Orchestriert wird WILLI von Massimo Bartolini und Luca Trevisani, mit Werken von Allora & Calzadilla, Vincenzo Agnetti, Annika Althoff, Carl Andre, Charles Atlas, Filippo Contatore, Sara Cortesi, Chiara Duchi, Adriana Ghimp, Dan Graham, Jonas Kolecki, Richard Long, Gordon Matta-Clark, Lilian Polosek, Irene Rainer, Gregor Schneider, Andreas Slominski, Michael Ungerer, Italo Zuffi.
Eine Zusammenarbeit der Antonio Dalle Nogare Stiftung und der Fakultät für Design und Kunst der Freien Universität Bozen.
Mit der freundlichen Unterstützung der Autonomen Provinz Bozen und der Gemeinde Bozen.

Chiara Duchi, eine der ausstellenden Studierenden in „WILLI the Cat“ führt uns durch die Ausstellung indem sie verschiedene Perspektiven nutzt und somit verschiedene Arten der Erfahrung bietet. Die Hintergrundmusik ist von Michael Ungerer’s Arbeit „Black, green and a little bit of white“, welche von seinem Kater Willi inspiriert wurde, welcher die Kuratoren der Ausstellung Massimo Bartolini und Luca Trevisani wiederum zum Titel der Ausstellung inspiriert hat.
