Is the “White Cube / Black Box” discussion still relevant when determining the conception of an ideal exhibition space today? How abstract do spaces for art really have to be and how much character can one assign them in order to allow a certain degree of specificity? Are not exactly those exhibition spaces which are considered to be strong and full of character the ones which evoke intricacy and complexity the best? These questions will be discussed by the curator and chairman of the Maria Lassnig foundation Peter Pakesch, the director of the Architekturforum Innsbruck Arno Ritter und the architect and exhibition designer Walter Angonese in the spaces of the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation. As every Friday, the Foundation offers a free guided tour of the exhibition at 6.00 PM – no registration required. Walter Angonese will take part in the guided tour.
